Yealm Rally
Yealm Yacht Club, Newton Ferrers
Friday, June 5th – Monday, June 8th
There will not be the usual two days of racing for the National Championships this year, but it is planned to have a rally on the tranquil, unspoilt Yealm River, where a Visitors Pontoon has been booked for us. If you have never visited the area before it is well worth coming, and we would especially welcome Ballads that have not joined in before. There is an electric water taxi but it is advised to bring dinghies to get ashore.
The plan is to meet up on Friday evening, with a Sailor’s supper and Skippers Briefing at Yealm Yacht Club, have some light hearted racing (most boats with 2 on board) out of Wembury Bay, with possible anchoring at Cawsand Bay or Jennicliff for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
There is the possibility of motoring up the Yealm River as far as possible on Sunday or Monday morning, with the tide and a Pursuit Race on Monday, 8th June.
